About us
This website is operated by The Meat Box Company of Elston Farm, Copplestone, Devon, EX17 5PB ("we", "us"). By placing an order through this site you agree to these terms. You can contact us at sales@themeatboxcompany.co.uk.

Products
We sell fresh British meat that is butchered to order, vacuum packed and frozen on the day it is cut. Product images are illustrative; as meat is a natural product, individual cuts may vary slightly in appearance and weight from those shown.

Ordering
All orders are placed online. Our minimum order value is £35. When you place an order you will receive an email acknowledgement; a contract is formed when we confirm your order for despatch. We reserve the right to decline an order, for example where an item is unavailable or where we cannot deliver to your address.

Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Most raw meat is zero-rated for VAT; where VAT applies it is included in the price shown. Payment is taken in full at checkout through our secure payment provider. We never see or store your card details.

Delivery
We deliver by next-day courier, Tuesday to Saturday, to mainland UK addresses only — we are unable to deliver to the Scottish Highlands and Islands or Northern Ireland (the full postcode list is on our Delivery page). You choose your delivery date at checkout. Orders placed by 2pm Monday to Friday can be delivered the next delivery day. Weekday delivery is £5.95 (free on orders over £100) and Saturday delivery is £9.95. Delivery dates in adverse weather or other events outside our control may be delayed; we will keep you informed.

Your responsibilities on delivery
Your order is perishable. Please ensure someone is available to receive it on your chosen date, or specify a safe place at checkout. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to your address, a neighbour, or your nominated safe place. Please place products in your freezer as soon as possible after delivery. Slight thawing in transit is normal and products are safe to refreeze.

Cancellations, returns and refunds
As perishable goods, our products are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Orders can be amended or cancelled up to 48 hours before your delivery date. If anything arrives damaged, incorrect or spoiled we will replace or refund it — see our Refund Policy for details. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Gift cards
Digital gift cards are delivered by email, are valid for 5 years from purchase, can be used across multiple orders, and are non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash.

Liability
We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made, or that were not caused by our breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order.

General
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page at the time of your order applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
