Our wild venison mince is a lean, high-protein swap for everyday mince. It is 100% wild venison, minced by our butchers at Elston Farm in Devon, and it works in any recipe that calls for mince – bolognese, chilli, cottage pie, burgers, meatballs or a ragu.
- High in protein – 23g per 100g (raw)
- Naturally low in fat – 2.4g per 100g, 1.0g saturates
- High in vitamin B12, and a source of iron and zinc
- About 115g of protein in every 500g pack
- Wild venison from Forestry England woodland, South West England
How to cook it
Brown the mince in a hot pan with a little oil, breaking it up as it cooks, then carry on with your recipe. Because venison is so lean, a splash of oil at the start helps it colour. Cook until steaming hot all the way through with no pink meat left.
Where it comes from
Wild deer from Forestry England woodland across the South West, taken with non-lead ammunition, then butchered, vacuum packed and frozen by our own team at Elston Farm, Copplestone, Devon. More about our wild venison.
